Adventure Ready was born out of a lifelong passion to explore the world – from car camping to backcountry expeditions.
A well-equipped vehicle enables us to reach out-of-the-way places and make exciting memories quickly, inexpensively, and comfortably. What makes vehicle-based travel is the vast distance you can cover combined with the ability to bring with you the items to make your adventure comfortable and convenient. We specialize in unique, tailored products specifically designed for vehicle-driven adventure.
Many of these items you may never have even known existed – for example portable refrigerators (say goodbye to soggy coolers and running out of ice) or rooftop tents (no more lumpy ground and sleeping in the dirt). This is modern adventure, and it will be more pleasurable when you focus on making memories, not sacrifices. Whether you’re a summer car camping soloist, a glamping family, or a seasoned overland expert, we strive to provide useful information, engaging stories and photos, and high quality equipment and supplies to ensure your adventures are the best they can be.
Owner’s Message
I’ve traveled by car to 44 of the 50 states, several different countries, and seen and done so many amazing things I can’t even keep iPhoto organized. Whether it’s a day trip to a scenic overlook or a week-long trek along a Backcountry Discovery Route, on any given day you’ll find me planning the next trip or packing the truck for the next big adventure.
Seeking out new experiences and embarking on amazing adventures can be daunting and intimidating, and without the proper equipment and supplies can be uncomfortable and difficult. And not just that, it’s simply far too easy to get distracted and trudge along with our eyes straight ahead. There is a lot to see and do in the world that doesn’t involve work, the internet, or fast food. But all of these modern “conveniences” begin to subdue our natural adventurous spirit, and sadly that means we miss much of the amazing world around us. Eagerness to explore, being self-reliant, and overcoming obstacles are values we need to actively pursue, and that is exactly what adventure is about. That’s why I started Adventure Ready; to encourage and enable others to have amazing new experiences and see fantastic new things. It doesn’t matter if you’re car camping a short drive from home or adventuring 200 miles from the nearest paved road, there are hundreds of amazing experiences and great stories only a short drive away. So get behind the wheel and get out there to see the world. You never know what’s around the next corner.
